Same Day Gratification

I know this post is short – but just trust me it’s good stuff in a small package. Saving 10% is no joke – takes over $1,000 off the average kitchen remodel – now that’s savings!

If you are moving, swing by the post office and ask for a “change of address moving kit”. In the kit are many coupons and discount offers. Included in the kit is a Home Depot or Lowes Coupon.

Do not worry, Lowes honors the Home Depot coupon. It would be fantastic if you found a Home Depot coupon and used it at Lowes. This site owner loves Lowes and would much rather see you go to Lowes over Home Depot.

Lowes and HD both sell you cheap things for a cheaper price, but buying crap at any price you are still buying crap! the products are cheaply made and do not last you get what i pay for.

Both stores count on you not knowing enough about what you are trying to accomplish and lack of knowledge of material quality and costs. something as small as primed white shoe molding is $.19/ lin foot at the local lumber yard, the same item at Lowes is $.52/lin foot.

Now if paying nearly 3 time the price is bad enough but most trim and boards are only available in 8′ lengths and the lumber yard sells 16′
(longer lengths = less joints which equals better jobs!

By the way if you are considering a project around your house, do not attempt to do the work yourself if you don’t have the skills needed to do the job correctly and/or
the job requires expensive tools you will need to buy to complete a one time job

PS in the long run having to hire a pro to fix what you just spent time and money on will end up costing more in the long run, now you are paying someone to undo what you did and redo it correctly. it ends up costing more than twice the price as one professional installation.
    thanks good luck

i love lowes! they have the best customer service, clean store, great prices and very helpful. And to the above i have checked around for locals prices on many items before purchase to compare and lowes is the cheapest….on same items! They help you get the tools you need to complete the job with books for advice available. Plus we have paid many “professionals” good money to do a job that my husband and i can do better. In the end i LOVE loews!
