Military Discounts –

Lowes was founded by 2 World War II veterans.
According to a post on 2/10/10 by the the ArmyTimes.com staff writer Karen Jowers “Lowe’s has expanded its 10 percent military discount to… active-duty, National Guard and reserve, retiree and disabled service members, and their families.”

The post states that only one of the following is required to get the discount:

1.Show a valid military ID card
2.If you do not fit Jowers’ description above then she states “other military veterans will receive the 10 percent discount on the holiday weekends of Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Veterans Day”.

According to Jowers’ Lowes announced that the year-round discount is a way for Lowes to “reaffirming our commitment to the thousands of men and women who are serving throughout the world, as well as their family members at home.”
